Chinova Resources is a private Australian resources company owned by the Shanxi Donghui Group of Companies, with principal activities focussed in North‐West Queensland. The company has existing operations at Osborne, south of Cloncurry, as well as several development projects and extensive exploration activity on a large tenement holding in the region.
The Osborne Extended Mine Life Project (EML Project) will mine six million tonnes from three brownfield mines at Starra, extending the Osborne site life by several years. Commencing late 2021, mining will initially focus on the open pits at Starra 254 and 222, with ore hauled approximately 50km by road trains back to Osborne for processing. Ore processing at Osborne is planned to recommence in early 2022 and underground mining at Starra 222 will recommence in early 2023. Chinova has other open pit and potential underground projects expected to commence within the EML Project timeframe.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Officer to join the Osborne team, sharing Chinova’s values and its commitment to safety and the environment.
The Warehouse Officer role reports to the Superintendent Finance. The primary purpose of the position is to provide services to all the Chinova Resources sites, including Exploration, Projects and Corporate Office. The role will involve ensuring all items are ordered and delivered in a timely manner, and that they are received according to specification. The role will encompass coordinating all aspects of warehousing and distribution as well as the management of stock levels and ensuring they are maintained at a level which balances with site requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will have a qualification in warehousing and logistics with at least 3-5 years’ working knowledge of a busy warehouse. Heavy industry experience is a must. A methodical approach to stock management, a very high regard for safety, proven organisational skills, teamwork, and time management skills are also required. A current forklift qualification and HR license are also a necessity.
This is a permanent opportunity on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Townsville. Our selection process involves interviews, skills assessment, and pre-employment medical.
