About Cabrini

This order was founded by Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini who was canonised in 1946 and later proclaimed Universal Patron Saint of Immigrants. We are a community of care, reaching out with compassion, integrity, courage and respect to all we serve. With more than 4300 staff, 1000 accredited medical practitioners and several locations, we offer a range of employment opportunities to start, continue or advance your career.

About the Medical Oncology department
Cabrini is one of Australia’s leading providers of cancer services. The Medical Oncology department aims to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art care for cancer patients and continued advancements in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of cancer via a combination of research, education and clinical practice. The department’s focus is firmly on the development of new agents for the treatment of cancer. We participate in phase one, two and three clinical trials using novel agents that are not available outside clinical trials, so our patients benefit from early access to the agents. Our research also has a significant focus on patient outcomes, particularly looking at tools and interventions to improve the patient experience through better quality-of-life, less toxicity, and better patient survivorship. The Cabrini Cancer Institute which opened in April 2021 is a further step in the development of cancer research at Cabrini.
