This is an exciting opportunity to join the flagship hospital for Southern Adelaide. The FMC offers a rewarding and challenging environment for your career development.  Promoting continual improvement philosophy amongst the Sterilisation Technicians, you are accountable for effective, efficient control of reprocessing of reusable medical devices so that they may be used safely without risk of transmission of infectious agents.  Working with the Training Coordinator and Manager to ensure staff undertake training and development programs and working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager and Nurse Unit Managers to ensure appropriate reusable medical devices are provided.

Experienced in working in a sterilisation department, you will demonstrate ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential.  You will be able to interpret complex instructions and procedures, utilise computer and word processing skills to prepare and maintain documents and records,  You will be required to provide assistance to others which may include developing, arranging and delivering internal and external training.  Having excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to cooperate with staff at all levels, you will maintain patient confidentiality and work with a wide range of people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances.
 
Must have completed Certificate 3 in Sterilisation Services +/-  AQF Certificate 4 in Sterilisation and have experience in undertaking team leader activities within a sterilisation department.
