About the Role

We are actively seeking the talents of an innovative and engaging individual to join our Global Petroleum business on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis in the capacity of Specialist, Project Controls & Analysis.

Focused on the Australian Delivery Portfolio, this position presents a terrific opportunity for an experienced Project Controls Professional to draw upon their previous industry experience and provide Project Controls & Analysis support across the delivery portfolio driving results within this high performing team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering fit for purpose cost control and reporting frameworks to support Operated and Operated by Others project deliveries.
  • Provide project controls support across CAPEX and ABEX projects.
  • Analysis of cost and schedule data highlighting monthly deviations to plan and identify early potential opportunities or risk impacts to cost and schedule outcomes.
  • Develop with project teams and coordinate with finance in providing the monthly accruals (VOWD) reporting.
  • Work closely with project teams to develop monthly forecast including consolidation and analysis of project commitments and actuals.
  • Prepare monthly project dashboard reporting for the Australia Petroleum Delivery Portfolio.
  • Support the project controls team in the business annual CAP cycle.
  • Identify and support the team in implementing improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be an extremely collaborative and goal oriented professional with high level influencing and stakeholder engagement skills. You are incredibly results focused with a demonstrated track record driving successful business outcomes.

In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding and background in industry-standard Project Controls principles and practices.

  • Ability to engage effectively across multiple business units and functional areas.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaborative in a team environment.

  • Task focused with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritise and meet scheduled deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of 1SAP for financial cost interface, will be an advantage.

  • Coordinate presentation of work product and various reporting requirements.

  • Microsoft Office suite experience – including advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint.

  • Experience in navigating and designing PowerBi interactive frameworks, not essential but will be an advantage.

  • Degree qualified in a related discipline ( Eg. Finance, Engineering, Business)

  • Previous experience within an Oil & Gas or mining Project Services environment

  • Certification from AACE and/or PMI, or other related project management certification is favourable.


You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower – ‘City Square’.
