Woodward Foods Australia Pty Ltd  is a family owned local business established in 1989, processing beef and lamb product to Australian and overseas markets. The company has undergone vast redevelopment over the past 3 years. With an ever growing and dynamic business structure the company is seeking a Skin and Hides Manager to manage and oversee the operations of the Skin & Hides Department

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Estimate skins on livestock and enter data
• Oversee the takeoff of skin and hide
• Grade skins from pallets
• Accumulate prices from buyers
• Oversee & manage the tender process

Skills and experience

• General knowledge of the skins and hide industry particularly in an abattoirs environment
• Previous experience in a management role
• Skin classing knowledge and ability to effectively evaluate skin classers and train if necessary
