We currently have vacancy in our Sustainable Growth team to help make Wollondilly an even better place, together. As the Senior Strategic Planner – Growth, your day will consist of, but not be limited to:

  • Effectively communicate and promote Council’s policies to the community, staff, industry and other agencies including community engagement through the public exhibition process.
  • Communicate, influence and negotiate effectively with all levels across the organisation, Government departments and the public on all matters relating to strategic planning in a professional and politically sensitive manner.
  • Provide clear, concise and professional advice to Executive, Council, Developers and the public through reports, written and oral advice in relation to rezoning, precinct/master/structure plans, development control plans and strategic matters relating to growth areas.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

  • Degree qualifications in Town Planning or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
    • Assessment of land capability having regard to legislation.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the legislative process applicable to Local Government as they relate to strategic land use planning.
  • Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence.
