The Senior Project Officer – Procurement & Projects will lead delivery of high-quality procurement function across projects, programs, and initiatives, by developing and implementing strategic procurement projects to meet project timelines and to required standards in the Logistics Unit within the Capability and Logistics Branch.
The purpose of this role is to lead service excellence in delivering procurement projects, tender documentation, specifications, via the following project management activities; Planning and Defining Scope, Activity Planning and Sequencing, Resource Planning, Developing Schedules, Time Estimating, Cost Estimating, Developing a Budget, Documentation, Creating Charts and Schedules, Risk Analysis, Team Leadership, Strategic Influencing and Working with Vendors to support a high performing culture.
The project management function will be across projects, programs and initiatives, by developing and implementing strategic procurement projects to meet project timelines and to required standards in the Logistics Unit within the Capability and Logistics Branch.
The role will work across the Infrastructure & Resources Division and Forests and Fire Operations teams to ensure the consistent, integrated and efficient delivery of procurement and project management services across the Forest, Fire and Regions group (FFRG). The Forest Fire and Region Group plays a critical role in the delivery of land and natural resource management for Victorians and protection against and management of fires and emergencies.
You will be an active member of the Logistics Unit leadership team, contributing to the delivery of group and departmental priorities, building an inclusive and high performing workforce that is customer focused, collaborative, professional and engaged.

- Experience in public sector procurement and project management is desirable.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 1 year.
