About the Role
Darebin City Council has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven IT Project Manager to join our close knit and high performing IT Project Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading IT projects from beginning through to completion.

  • Concurrently manage delivery of a range of projects
  • Effective scheduling, tracking, and reporting of project(s) from initiation through plan and design, implementation and project close stages
  • Work with other IT professionals, such as applications support and testing analysts, to document key system interdependencies
  • Regular production of project artefacts to enable and support effective planning, management and monitoring of projects, including project budget profiling and phasing

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management or related discipline
  • Proven success in managing complex, enterprise-wide IT projects and leading multi-disciplinary project teams to drive and deliver successful outcomes
  • Extensive understanding of industry standard methods e.g. PMBoK, PRINCE2, Agile Proficiency in full Microsoft suite of products in particular MS project
  • Knowledge of tendering / procurement, contract management, execution, delivery and review processes
