Our client is a progressive Engineering company based in WA and are heavily involved in the Mining/Resources, Oil and Gas and Engineering sector. A position has come available for a Senior HSE Advisor to oversee all OHS&E activities and have the main responsibility of ensuring productivity and quality standards are maintained at all times. This is a vital position within the company that will require you to use your HSE/Safety expertise combined with your senior level experience.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
  • Advise on and apply OHS&E legislation;
  • Manage and maintain OH&S standards applying industry best practice in incident and injury prevention;
  • Maintain Company Certification in compliance with ISO Management System standards;
  • Provide the necessary resources and disciplines in achieving Company Objectives and Targets as defined by the strategies developed from the approved Company Business Plan.
  • Ensure a systems and processes are in place and utilised to identify hazards, assess and control risks at the workplace as well as record and investigate injuries and equipment damage;
  • Provide positive leadership in the conservation of energy and the protection of the environment in compliance with environmental standards;
  • Ensure employees are trained in personal protective equipment and safe working procedures as well as manage the return of injured workers into the workplace;
  • Report and document/record all accidents, incidents, injuries, hazards and property damage.
  • Report on overall company safety performance;
About you:
  • Bachelor degree or higher qualification
  • At least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Valid C Class manual drivers’ licence
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Punctual & reliable
  • Willing to undertake additional training
