Secondary Literature and Philosophy Teacher

The International French School of Sydney, Lycée Condorcet Sydney (LCS) is looking for a Literature and Philosophy Teacher to join our team.
 

About the role:

• Teach Literature and Philosophy to secondary school students (Years 6 to Year 12), following the French curriculum and the NSW curriculum
• Prepare students for examinations (French DNB + French baccalaureate)
• Teach within the framework of the fundamental principles of the French and Australian educational systems with high standard expected

What is required for the role:

• Masters degree in education or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience

About the ideal candidate:

• Understanding and knowledge of the French education system abroad
• C2 level in English
• Show a proven ability to work as part of a team
   

Before starting to teach, the candidate will have to:

• Provide a copy of an updated  criminal record to the school before starting date
• Be accredited with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  Obtain a Working with Children Check Clearance [link removed] or be willing to obtain one prior to employment. It is an offence under the NSW Child Protection (Prohibited Employment) Act 1998 for a person convicted of a serious sex offence to apply for these positions.
• Have a Child Protection training
