About the role

The Sales and Service Consultant will contribute to Westfund membership growth and profitability through the achievement of health insurance sales targets, health promotion, member retention and improved member experience.This position also interacts with and works collaboratively alongside other Westfund employees located in all Care Centre’s and Home Office.

As the Sales and Service Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times
  • Follow up sales leads to maximise conversion
  • Track personal conversion rates
  • Process claim / membership paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Provide quality information to Members through thorough Westfund product knowledge and services available to members, potential members and external clients
  • Ensure the broader health services of Eye Care and Dental are appropriately used to drive sales
  • Achieve or exceed the desired conversion rate of leads to sales
  • Travel throughout the Westfund region as necessary
  • Demonstrate and uphold the values of Westfund at all times
  • Undertake continuing professional development as required to ensure job skills remain current
  • Attend/participate in out-of-hours meetings and functions as required
  • Identify continuous quality improvement opportunities and participate in the development of quality improvement policies and procedures

About you

If successful in obtaining the role as Sales and Service Consultant, you will possess the following skills, knowledge and qualifications:

  • Skills around sales conversions
  • Attain exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Be highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to have meaningful face to face and telephone interactions
  • Demonstrate empathy and show initiative
  • Attain basic computer skills (Word and Excel), with capability and willingness to learn new systems
  • Ability to work in a team environment
