The Opportunity

As a result on ongoing growth in Australia, we are looking to appoint a talented individual to the role of Sales Engineer, NSW.  Reporting to the Director Logistics Solutions and a dotted line into the State Manager, this key role will appeal to a talented sales engineer/professional looking to join a highly successful global business with a growing presence in Australia.  

The focus of this role will be developing long term sustainable client relationships offering complex solutions for warehousing systems. This role will be end-to-end technical sales including pre-sales, quotes and tenders, preparing AutoCAD drawings and negotiating contracts.  

The Person

The successful candidate with bring a “proactive and team approach”; strongly customer oriented with the ability to bring superior inter-personal and communications skills; and with strong commercial and financial acumen aligned with a technical sales background (automotive, engineering, industrial, materials handling or earthmoving equipment) – AutoCAD will be an essential skill for this role.

You will bring confidence and the ability to interpret complex business problems in order to provide winning solutions.

This key role will be responsible for new business development as well as managing existing clients within NSW. You will be supported by world class products, collateral and marketing to ensure that 100% of leads are converted to sales.

With a focus on developing long term sustainable client relationships, you will be expected to plan and execute account management analysis, identify growth opportunities, research new customer segments and deliver presentations. You will have a sophisticated CRM to provide you with market data, as well as leveraging internal business relationships and business networks.

The successful candidate with bring a “proactive and team approach”; strongly customer oriented with the ability to bring superior inter-personal and communications skills; and with strong commercial and financial acumen aligned with a technical sales background (automotive, engineering, industrial, materials handling or earthmoving equipment) as well as advanced skills in AutoCAD.
