The Department requires a motivated and skilled Revenue Officer that demonstrates excellent communication skills, a well-developed knowledge of interpreting and applying legislation (within taxation administration or similar) and the ability to lead staff in a busy and constantly changing operational environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate information to taxpayers and grant recipients on a range of issues;
  • Accurately processing and authorising various transactions relating to the administration of taxation legislation;
  • Supervising daily workloads and providing training, coaching and technical support to team members; and
  • Identifying, implementing and evaluating improvements to operational effectiveness and efficiency.

To be successful in this diverse role, you will need to be stakeholder focussed and able to clearly and succinctly convey ideas and information via a variety of medium, be a problem solver who consistently looks to improve processes and enjoy working with staff to develop their skills and abilities.

The Salary range for this role is $72 887 to $84 041 pro rata per annum, plus superannuation.

Hours per fortnight

Up to 73.5 – hours flexible – talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part-time hours.

Desirable Requirements

Diploma or Advanced Diploma, completion, or partial completion, of relevant tertiary qualifications.
