RETAIL MANAGER

Red Rooster is an Australian fast food restaurant chain founded in 1972 that specialises in roast chicken, chicken burgers and fried chicken. Our product range includes whole roasts, half roasts, wraps, burgers, salads, beverages and desserts.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED: Preferred Diploma in Business/Marketing field or higher.

 WORK EXPERIENCE: Preferred 3 years of work experience in a leadership role preferably in a fast-food industry 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Recruitment/Training & Supervision

  • Recruit, train, supervise and appraise staff
  • Set sales targets and motivate staff to meet those goals, updating staffs on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
  • Ensure all staff members are aware of the Red Rooster standards, the quality of product required and customer service
  • Conduct regular staff performance reviews 
  • Provide direction and feedback to employees 
  • Train and ensure that all staff is aware of the importance of controlling food cost. 
  • Handle staff conflicts, complaints, and problems

Operations, cost control & Rostering

  • Responsible for store profitability
  • Manage budgets and cost control
  • Manage wage costs, and rostering
  • Manage, and control store operations duties
  • Maintain statistical and financial records and paperwork, analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales, cash control
  • Setting and modifying price of products within the maximum limit as set by the Master Franchisee 
  • Responsible for pricing, managing stock levels and making key financial decisions about stock control 
  • Collaborate with the head office to ensure store performance lives up to standards 
  • Where stock has been incorrectly ordered or is unavailable it is the Manager’s responsibility to ensure stock is sourced and available. Exceptions apply where stock is not available from suppliers. 
  • Keeping abreast with the requirement of Red Rooster Franchise and understanding of Franchisor policy and guidelines 
  • Ensure that all online training requirements for Manager level has been completed as per Franchisor’s requirements

Customer Service 

  • Address customer complaints and issues in a professional manner
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met 
  • Organise special promotions, displays and events, 
  • Responsible for local marketing and engaging with customers on social media platforms 
  • Reaching out potential clients to secure sales order, promoting the organisation locally by liaising with the local community in general 
  • Engaging advertising agencies and utilizing various marketing tools

Store Audit

  • Sole responsibility of dealing with Red Rooster auditors
  • Audit covers areas such as level of turnover, hygiene, OH&S, customer service and product quality
  • Completing Food Safety and Hygiene (FSH) and Operation Evaluation audit reports
