As part of our friendly and supportive work environment, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of evidence based, recovery oriented services across the multidisciplinary country Mental Health Service in Whyalla. Delivery care appropriate to the needs of the consumer and the local community, you will work across community, acute and rehabilitation service settings and will utilise and develop a combination of preventative, early intervention, therapeutic and evaluative approaches. These will include individual and family therapeutic approaches, group programs, health promotion and community development programs. Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in Mental Health practice. With demonstrated experience in engaging mental health consumers and their families in the recovery journey, you will bring the ability to work collaboratively with others, including as part of a multidisciplinary team. Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will be essential.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.
COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
