We are seeking an experienced and motivated coordinator to join our Sportsgrounds & Reserves team. Reporting to the Team Leader Sportsgrounds & Reserves, the role will oversee the delivery of a range of capital work projects across Kingstonâ€™s sportsgrounds and recreational reserves.
The Recreation Reserve Coordinator is also required to undertake strategic planning, development of maintenance programs and undertake contract and project administration. They will be accountable for the quality of turf throughout Kingstonâ€™s sportsgrounds and reserves and will be required to provide expert advice to Council on broader turf management.
Providing ongoing support to the Team Leader Sportsground and Reserves, the incumbent will have a strong focus on customer service and leading the triaging of customer requests. They will assist in the planning and procurement of programmed and capital works across the Sportsground and Reserves Team, ensuring all works are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
The Recreation Reserve Coordinator may be required to undertake manual handling tasks out in the field on an ad hoc basis.
We are looking for someone with:
- The ability to demonstrate the City of Kingstonâ€™s values of Future Orientated, Accountable, Dynamic, Expert, Community and Celebration
- Expertise and demonstrated experience in Open Space/Sports Turf management
- Knowledge of and familiarity with project and contractor management and OH&S
- Experience working in a Local Government setting or in an organisation having strong links with Local Government and community stakeholders
- Experienced in programming and troubleshooting Central Control Irrigation systems across open space reserves and sportsgrounds
