About Us
We are a private Psychology Practice in Brunswick about to expand to a new location in Thornbury. We offer psychology services to young people aged 3 to 21 years and their families. This includes intervention, counselling, assessment and group skills classes. We are a small practice centred on delivering the best client care rather than focused on squeezing in as many clients into a day as possible. Common presentations we work with include anxiety & phobias, depression, stress management, emotional and behavioural regulation concerns, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, learning difficulties, and friendship and relationship concerns.
Who we are looking for
We are after psychologists committed to delivering high quality client care with experience in evidence-based interventions and assessments relevant to the 3 to 21 years age group. We want psychologists comfortable working with young people, with strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
Both experienced and early career psychologists/graduates are welcome to apply. This is a contractor position allowing for flexibility in the hours worked with candidates able to take on part-time or full-time hours.
General requirements (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement):
- Full registration as a psychologist with AHPRA
- Eligibility for registration with Medicare
- Professional Indemnity Insurance and your own ABN
- Current Working with Childrens Check and Police Check
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Experience in common evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy
- Experience in common assessments including; Wechsler assessment kits (WISC-5, WPPSI-III, WAIS-IV, WIAT-III), ADOS-2, Connors3 (highly regarded)
- Familiarity with social thinking programs (e.g. Zones of Regulation, We Thinkers) (highly regarded)
- Endorsement in or qualifications in Educational & Developmental Psychology (highly regarded)
