Project Engineer – Communications ODM

Our On Demand Module (ODM) contract is to service both business and commercial customers along with residential applications providing them access to nbn’s fixed network across all technologies including FTTP, FTTC, FTTN and HFC.  The contract covers NSW, QLD and WA and utilises a schedule of rates model to complete the works. The works include the full survey, design and construction of these customer orders to connect them to the local nbn network.

We are now seeking a Project Engineer to join our ODM team based out of our Milton, QLD office.  Working in a multi-disciplinary project team you will contribute to & coordinate activities related to the design & construct of nbn infrastructure.  You will ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with client design requirements, Australian Standards & relevant legislative requirements.  The role will also require co-ordination & management of field related activities during construction phase. 

Key result areas encompass aligning to Downer’s Values, Design Management, Process Improvement, Operational Delivery, Progress Reporting, Quality Management & Zero Harm. 

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary qualification in Telecommunication Engineering or Construction.
• Experience working as a Design, Field or Project Engineer on large scale telecommunications projects is desirable however we’ll also consider recent graduates
• Proven Subcontractor Management experience.
• Proven Quality Assurance experience within the Telecommunications industry.
• Excellent knowledge of existing nbn and Telstra deployment standards.
• Demonstrated understanding of design, construction & integration of fixed networks.
