Ten Recruitment is currently recruiting for a leading manufacturing business based in the states picturesque Kimberley region, the company in question is in an exciting growth stage with operations in the Northern Territory & the southwest coast of WA. The business is now looking for an operations/production manager for their Kimberley operations.
 
The business is privately owned with a manufacturing business who products are used within the pharmaceutical, Retail & Health Industries.
 
A rare opportunity now exists for a self-driven Production/ Operations Manager to be responsible for driving the ongoing performance of the operations and warehouse functions of the business.
 
This is a hands-on role that provides oversight and leadership of the production plant and warehouse, which includes, safety, product quality, efficiency, workforce management and output to always ensure plant efficiency. We require a self-motivated person with a strong background in manufacturing to be able to look after this small and highly successful operation.
 
About you:
 
You have practical experience working in a similar Plant/Operations Manager role within a manufacturing environment
You possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, manage and develop people, to manage work and resources
You can energise, engage, and inspire others around common goals and values, to deliver on agreed outcomes and objectives
You are well organised, process driven and proactive
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can think on your feet
You possess the ability to work within a small team and can build strong relationships
You are a critical thinker and natural problem solver
A relevant mechanical engineering qualification would be positively considered, however not essential
Key to your success will be your ability to exercise initiative and lead others, including the ability to lead by example and set consistently high standards. You will present an energetic and resilient approach, with strong communication skills.
