The Calile Hotel comprises of 175 guest rooms, resort pool, day spa, gymnasium, library, bars, restaurants, and shops, integrating at ground level with the bustling James Street precinct of Fortitude Valley. The highly acclaimed architecture embraces Brisbane’s enviable climate to deliver a tropical resort experience in an urban setting. Naturally, ventilated corridors and breezeways link to well considered rooms appointed for comfort.

You are the face of The Calile, and your presence and professionalism make you stand out from the crowd. You will be an enthusiastic, proactive and driven team player, committed to ensuring our guests have an exemplary experience and delighting in assisting them in any way you can. This position is responsible for overseeing the general operation of the pool and surrounding amenities including shower facilities.

This casual role will deliver a range of services including but not limited to:

  • Conduct opening duties including remove pool covers, clean the pool & surrounds, remove any floating service debris, vacuum etc.
  • Throughout the opening hours of the pool maintain a vigilant oversight of the pool to ensure all users are safe
  • Engage with guests on every opportunity and deliver 5 star service on all requests that may arise
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any unsafe equipment for repair or replacement following procedures

It is essential that you have a current and valid First Aid Certificate and have the ability to be flexible as shifts will vary over a 7-day rotating roster.
