Part Time Bookkeeper – Flexible Hours

  • Part time permanent role (minimum two days per week) located in Minto South-West Sydney 
  • Provide financial and administrative support 
  • Flexible hours could suit university student studying accounting

We are a family-owned consumer rental and leasing business primarily supplying household goods and appliances.  In addition to our core business, we also supply motels, fitting out complete households for fly in fly out or similar workers, defence housing and office hubs.

 

The role

Located at in Minto South-West Sydney, a part time, 2 day a week opportunity now presents for a junior Bookkeeper | Office Administrator to join the team and support the continual growth of the business as an industry leader in furniture and appliance leasing. Confidently working both autonomously and within a small team, the successful candidate will be tech savvy with an analytical mindset and possess high attention to detail skills.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for the following supported by the Group Finance Officer: 

  • Maintenance and reconciliation of Company’s credit cards
  • Process supplier invoices in MYOB
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements and follow up on missing invoices
  • Preparation of payment batches
  • Assisting with payroll
  • Some preparation of financial reports 
  • Maintaining an effective filling system 

 

Skills & experience 

The successful candidate will have:

  • 2 – 3 years completed in tertiary degree in Accounting
  • Some experience using MYOB is desirable
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast moving, multi-faceted environment 
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise to meet strict deadlines
  • High work ethic and strong attention to detail
