About Us

The Emergency & Critical Care Service at WAVES is seeking an experienced Organisational Development Specialist to work with an awesome team of humans.

Western Australian Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (WAVES) is a veterinary referral hospital that provides veterinary emergency and specialist veterinary care for family pets, treating them as we would treat our family members.

WAVES is home to a number of specialty referral services which includes Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Anaesthesia and Diagnostic Imaging.

Our staff are friendly, dedicated, empathetic, compassionate and highly knowledgeable veterinarians, nurses and support staff who together, provide the highest level of care possible for the pets in Perth in a supportive partnership with the pet’s general practitioner.

With the pressures of providing quality care 24/7 and the need to be perpetually infallible, comes the need to ensure that the well-being of the people is prioritised and that the goals of both organisation and people are aligned in order to grow and develop together in a positive direction.

Can you…..

  • Design and deliver solutions that shape culture, create engaging experiences for people, increase employee happiness, satisfaction and effectiveness?
  • Lead programs that transform the way we work while driving leadership agility, adaptability, capability and performance?
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an organisational development strategy?
  • Work not only with the team but also with individuals to deliver outcomes that build happiness, empathy and resilience in the workplace?
  • Develop and manage workplace culture metrics and reporting?
  • Translate organisational goals into learning and development strategies and programs?
  • Communicate confidently and influence people?
  • Coach people to grow their potential and purpose?

  • Perform HR generalist roles?
  • Develop and manage performance management processes and procedures in addition to managing employee relations in a professional services business?
  • Identify an opportunity, jump in and get your hands dirty?

If you tick all of the above and also have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Coaching or a related discipline, then you may be the unicorn we have been looking for. If you don’t, do not despair because you may be a diamond in the rough and we are still interested in seeing what you have to offer.
