This role is primarily responsible for the following outcomes:

  • Incident investigation and improvement recommendations
  • Responsible for OHS throughout the premise environment
  • Full function Worker’s Compensation and Return to Work Co-ordination
  • Maintenance of the Safety Management System including training for staff 
  • Assessing workplace hazards and risks
  • Maintaining incident register with incident reports and conducting incident investigations
  • Operational tasks including incident investigations, risk assessments and delivering health and safety and environmental training programs.
  • Developing and delivering training programs will be an important part of this role as well as auditing, mentoring and influencing at all levels of the business.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety (Certificate 4 – minimum)
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • Workplace drug and alcohol testing certification
  • Experience in workplace rehabilitation & return to work
  • Proficient Microsoft suite skills particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to learn new software programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
