About Your Role

This full time permanent Network Security Engineer role is responsible for security analysis, technical studies, security solution design tasks, systems integration and engineering support activities to provide a compliant solution to complex gateways that interface trusted critical infrastructure to un-trusted environments.

  • Develop PROTECTED and SECRET Security gateway detail design with objective to achieve the subsystem CDR;

  • Develop Data Diode detailed design with objective to achieve the subsystem CDR;

  • Develop application proxy services that are part of the DMZ to expose the air traffic management system to external systems;

  • Develop an out of band management solution to provide monitoring and control services to OneSKY in alignment with the security architecture, and especially the segregation using network zones and applicable design constraints;

  • Develop the gateway security filtering services that are applicable to external and intra-partition flows;

  • Develop the gateway Interface Configuration and design the gateway in alignment with the Interface Configuration specifications and performance requirements;

How About You?

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or other related disciplines.

  • Proven Cyber Security experience or in infrastructure and IT.

  • Proven professional experience in Information Security.

  • Experience in ACSC – Information Security Manual (ISM), Australian Government – Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Defence Security Manual (DSM).

  • Experience in technical leadership (e.g.; leading projects from concept to completion).

  • Experience in Australian Government security solutions such as secure gateways, secure networking and cross domain security solutions.

  • Experience in the design of Cyber Security Infrastructure such as Packet Capture Tap, Data Diode, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and Application Proxy Server.
