Job Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise and direction in in relation to Design, Review and Implementation of solutions for major additions and upgrades to the Data and Voice network infrastructure whilst ensuring alignment with Corporate standards.
• Seek opportunities to improve the efficiency of network infrastructure, processes and procedures.
• Ensure reliability and functionality of network infrastructure systems.
• Provide escalated technical support, troubleshooting and fault rectification of technical issues related to network infrastructure systems.
• Monitor the performance of carriers/network providers in relation to established service level agreements and business needs.
• Coordinate 3rd party service providers and contractors to install, maintain and support the network infrastructure systems.
• Maintaining accurate technical documentation, reports and records for network infrastructure systems.
• Operational procurement, administration and inventory management of network and telecommunications infrastructure
• Collaborate with CTC Security Team regarding security (3rd Party/Internet/PCN) corporate and firewall management.
• Ensuring Network and Telecommunication solutions conform to Corporate and legislative compliance requirements
• Perform after hours work for schedule upgrades and maintenance.
• Travel to both local (CBD) and remote CVX locations from time to time.
—Preferred skills–
• Experience in Configuration and Maintenance of Cisco Router, Switches, Wireless and IP Telephony in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in Configuration and Maintenance of Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Knowledge of wider telecommunications subjects, such as satellite, microwave and RF
• Experience in the Oil & Gas or resources sector desirable but not essential
Experience:
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in configuration and maintenance of Cisco Router, Switches, Security, Wireless and IP Telephony in an enterprise environment
• Working in Agile Methodology desirable but not essential

Training/Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Cisco Certifications – CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Collaboration desirable
• Certifications in Palo Alto desirable
