Demand Planning Managers monitor and coordinate their team of Demand Planners to ensure high levels of forecast accuracy and performance across a broad portfolio of assigned products. They will liaise with key stakeholders and monitor performance whilst supporting the Head of Demand Planning with strategic initiatives and project implementations, cohesively striving for excellence and instilling a positive workplace culture.

Demand Planning Manager, with support from their team, will be assigned a portfolio of SKULs across a range of suppliers and customers and be responsible for achieving the highest level of service level performance.

Demand planning is a cross-functional process that helps businesses meet customer demand for products while minimizing excess inventory and avoiding supply chain disruptions. We aim to increase profitability and customer satisfaction and identify and achieve efficiency gains throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and work in a team of demand planners
  • Operationalize strategic plans and initiatives 
  • Management of demand and forecasts for Ethical and Institutional Healthcare products
  • Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, adjacent departments and key stakeholders
  • Operate the suite of software used to effectively manage inventory

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a supply chain planning role is required
  • Personnel and product management experience is required
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and advanced planning software is required
  • Basic skills with business software packaged including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access are required.
  • Degree in pharmaceuticals, pharmacy or health is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy ranged products and suppliers is desirable
