An opportunity exists for a medical receptionist to work in a dynamic well established general practice in the Hills District of Sydney.

This position offers a flexible, friendly and supportive environment.

Our doctors aim to adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards in order to provide the best care to our patients.

Although experience is highly regarded, it is not essential and on the job training will be provided.

We are offering a full time position at $20 – $25 per hour according to the Award with approximately 38 hours per week. 

The role requires full availability.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Exceptional people skills.
  • A good sense of humor.
  • Experience with Best Practice Clinical Software.
  • Experience in a similar environment is advantageous.
  • And live locally.

 Responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients and answering phones in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Accurately recording patient details and messages on the computer program.
  • Ensuring the practice is kept clean and tidy.
  • Developing an understanding of different levels of patient need.
  • Ensuring patient information is kept confidential at all times.
  • Ordering Stock.
  • Invoicing.
  • Creating and sending Medicare batches.
  • Ensuring adequate medical and office supplies available.
  • Scanning and shredding of documents.
