With several projects on the go, new projects kicking off, and a 10-year agreement of works, we are currently recruiting Mechanical Fitters to join our Operations team to support D4C’s alliance with Sydney Water to safely deliver reliable water and wastewater services to the community and to meet the future needs of Sydney’s increasing population.
D4C (Delivering 4 Customers), partners with Sydney Water, to support the delivery, design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services as part of the P4S Program in Sydney Water’s Southern Region of Sydney.
Maintaining the largest and longest-standing treatment hubs around the Southern Region, you will be provided with a variety of work across different locations, you could be asked to work at hubs that differ from your initial post to support the networks, specific jobs and projects aligned to your area of expertise and speciality. As part of the Operations Maintenance team, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities and your day-to-day activities may include:
- Reactive maintenance to equipment faults that occur during shift
- Weekly, monthly & annually planned maintenance to equipmentâ€¯
- Fault finding
- Installation of new equipment
Activities may include a combination of the asset types requiring maintenance:
- Conventional, submersible, grinders, mono, cavity pumps
- Chemical dosing equipment
- Sewer pumping & water pumping stationsâ€¯
- Mixers, blowers, gearboxes, skimmers, actuators
- Vacuum systems
- Water filtration plants
- Driver licence
- Trade certification in mechanical discipline
- Lock Out Tag Out
- Pump maintenance: Conventional, submersible, grinders, mono, cavity
- JSEA completions
- Water experience
Favourable permanent hourly rates based on experience, including overtime and benefits. Solid induction and training provided, together with development for future growth and opportunities. Full PPE also included. Operational hours Monday to Friday, 7am starts – 40-hour week, with overtime available.
