Our Client
Our client is an agrifood/fresh produce industry association with a membership base from across Australia and New Zealand, representing all parts of the agri-food value chain. Members include major retailers, wholesalers, supply chain companies, producers and processors, and a diverse range of service companies. The association, part of a strong global network, provides a range of services to members in the fresh produce and food industries.
 
Overview of Role
This is an exciting opportunity in marketing to drive the engagement of association members, creating a high quality member experience across multi-channel platforms. With a proven track-record in internal and external communications you will actively engage with association members to provide information and support.  Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement strategies to market and promote the company to the Australian and New Zealand fresh produce industry through excellent communications 
  • Grow brand awareness 
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase year-round engagement and satisfaction of our members and stakeholders while at the same time generating leads for new opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategies to market and promote the organisation to the Australian and New Zealand fresh produce industry through excellent communications 
  • Work with the team to develop and execute a year-round calendar of engagement opportunities which includes events, research and resources, that deliver excellent value to members and industry
  • Plan, develop and implement events nationally and internationally with the staff and board, to deliver member value 
  • Maintain website CMS and drive new membership leads through thoughtful lead journeys and SEO 
  • Work in conjunction with the Member Satisfaction Manager to contribute to the generation of member led content (resources and events)
  • Continually review and optimise marketing performance across all channels
  • Copy writing press material, marketing collateral and social media content

Requirements
A general understanding of the food and agriculture industries and of the agrifood supply chain would provide a good background to this role. Specific requirements are:

  • Formal qualifications in PR, Marketing and Communications or similar discipline
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a marketing or communications position 
  • Some understanding of horticulture, agriculture, food, or the food supply chain is desirable
  • Superior understanding of social media and different marketing channels
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Professional, respectful, and passionate
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience in developing and executing communications and engagement plans
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Experience with CMS (i.e. Sitecore) and CRM (i.e. Salesforce) 
  • A passion for the fresh produce industry and the people that work in our industry that brings fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers to people around the world on a daily basis is essential 
  • Ability to identify and capture member needs and new ideas and effectively communicate them
  • Experience in planning and delivering events is desired
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines 

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a motivated, professional, and positive person who enjoys working within a small team in an office-based team environment. 
 
Location and Remuneration
The role is based at the Docklands in Melbourne, Victoria. There is an attractive remuneration package which includes a base salary and superannuation.
