Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You will find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and is shipped to our customers all over the world. Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure and communications. 

At MRM, we are looking for a Maintenance Scheduler to join our Mobile Maintenance team. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team environment sharing knowledge, skills and experience. This role supports our operations by overseeing maintenance scheduling, budget forecasting and safety management within the Maintenance team.

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner, you will be working on a 4 days on, 3 days off fly in, fly out roster from Darwin to McArthur River. The key functions and activities of this role include implementing and updating maintenance plans, planning and coordinating equipment shutdowns, spares availability and scheduling activities, monitoring maintenance cost, budgeting and compliance whilst following Glencore’s values and safety practices and procedures.

 

The successful candidate be able to demonstrate high quality scheduling ability, provide continuous improvement with workflow and planning processes and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience as a maintenance professional, mining industry experience preferred however, not essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with fleet management.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling.
• Experience with maintenance systems, Ellipse, JDE, Oracle, SAP desirable
• Technical qualification in Maintenance Planning/Asset Management desirable.
• You want to make a lasting contribution to MRM and the wider Glencore group.
