AlburyCity is the custodian of an environment like no other. If you have a passion for the environment and would embrace working outdoors in some of Albury’s most beautiful areas we may have a job for you.  We have created a new team responsible for the management and maintenance of many of the City’s key natural areas and numerous Significant Environmental Roadside’s. In addition, the team lives and breathes the Wagirra Trail, meets legislative obligations under The Biosecurity Act, 2015, manages habitat for key threatened species and ensures our City has fuel load management and Asset Protection Zone’s implemented.

This supervisory position will be responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of activities associated with the Wagirra Trail and undertaking on ground works associated with AlburyCity’s Natural Areas network. 

It will be responsible for the hands-on supervision, leading and mentoring of the Wagirra Aboriginal team. 

The team is an AlburyCity initiative, which links Council’s commitment to the employment of Aboriginal people to various projects across the municipality. The teams’ projects are about connecting the community with a variety of experiences along the Murray River and Albury’s Natural Area network, including reserves, trails and interpretative activities. We are looking for someone who loves a high energy working environment and can bring a great work ethic, knowledge and skills.
