Safe Environments is looking for a University or TAFE graduate qualified in engineering, science, forensic science, health science or laboratory technology to join our expanding team based in Blacktown. Safe Environments laboratory and inspection services are NATA accredited to AS ISO 17025 & AS ISO 17020 for hazardous materials inspections, slip resistance testing, asbestos identification & air monitoring.

Our consultants are experts in building materials, ergonomics, occupational hygiene and occupational health & safety. We pride ourselves in providing innovative and pragmatic solutions to identify assess and control property risk and our testing services focus on client needs and expectations in a timely manner.

The technician will be responsible for the following:

• Slip Resistance Testing
• Ceramic Tile and Stone Testing
• Construction Material Testing
• Luminance Contrast
• Asbestos Identification & Fibre Counting

The following qualifications, experience and competencies will be looked at favourably.

• Science or Engineering Degree
• TAFE Qualifications in Laboratory Technology or similar

You will have a customer orientated approach, be computer literate with good use of Microsoft Word, be able to work independently in a small team environment and have a current drivers license.
