Who are we?
Discover Energy is a young & growing electricity retailer and developer of renewable energy generation assets. Our model uses generous feed-in tariffs, and promotes solar and energy storage options for households at affordable prices. We also distribute and operate integrated solar and energy storage technologies in partnership with our suppliers and customers.
The Role
We require a Junior Sales Consultant who will assist the team to help qualify leads, create opportunities, and be an important part of our sales team for the Australian market. This role could be your next step towards becoming a professional sales representative or a Business Development Manager.
You will be involved in the development of new and existing businesses by identifying end-user leads, arranging appointments to meet and/or call potential and current customers and closing deals with deliverable customer savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate potential customers about our energy plans and rates, and sign up new customers (inbound and outbound);
- Provide admin & sales support to the Business Development Managers
- Create & assist Sales Manager with weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly sales reports
- Coordinate quotes/ price comparisons & sign up customers (inbound & outbound)
- Assist in the organisation of events and product exhibitions
- Answer customer inquiries promptly to resolve issues while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Establish & grow prospective customer pipeline.

- Ability to meet deadlines and on budget
- Punctuality, personal presentation and workplace attitude
- Lead generation/New leads/Opportunities, lead conversion rate and lead close rate.
- Sales volume, existing client engagement, customer relationships and ability to maintain strong relationships
- Pre-set Quarterly KPI’s, set and agreed upon with National Sales Manager and/or CEO
