Fixed term contract (9 months – full time position with potential extension)

Starting salary $62,943 plus superannuation

The role

Our Information Systems and Technology team at Gippsland Water is seeking an IT Support Officer to effectively support the delivery and use of Gippsland Water’s information technology systems and services whilst being dedicated in delivering the best outcomes for our customers.

The primary role of the IT Support Officer is to provide technical knowledge and advice including high levels of customer service to deliver quality, innovative and secure technology solutions for Gippsland Water’s internal and external stakeholders. 

You will have well developed problem solving skills along with the ability to work with our users to get the best outcomes for all, often on more than one issue or request at a time. You will have the ability to manage multiple time critical priorities and provide technical advice and support to all users at all levels of the organisation.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience and/or a relevant tertiary qualification in an IT related discipline
  • Experience in end user support, including rostered service desk, process improvement, and development of user guides and technical documentation
  • Experience in providing support of workstations, mobile devices and IT peripherals
  • Ability to liaise and work with a wide range of internal stakeholders including facilitating meetings and workshops to collaboratively deliver projects 
  • Have an enthusiastic approach to proactively seek, develop and optimize service delivery processes
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain sound working relationships at all levels
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to self-manage tasks independently to  achieve team deliverables
