We are an ICT Managed Services Business supporting a variety of client types and sizes. Our office is ideally located in central Port Melbourne. We are a small and friendly team with a group of clients who love working with us for our great customer service as much as our great technical skills. We are looking for someone who will support our team with meeting our business and organisational objectives.

Junior Part Time Position – Monday to Friday 12.00pm to 5.00pm with the possible opportunity for extended hours in the future (This schedule maybe flexible for the right candidate)

Primary Task Summary

  • Support our clients and our internal team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve predominantly Level 1 Support Issues face-to-face, over the phone and using remote support applications
  • Log requests in the Helpdesk system and maintain accurate notes on status, resolutions, and escalations
  • Upgrade, build and deploy hardware and software applications
  • Hands on technical maintenance tasks on desktops, laptops, operating systems, email systems and software applications
  • Communicate directly with third party vendors and service providers in addition to clients
  • Anticipate potential issues and share your ideas to counter them
  • General IT and office admin duties as required
  • Anything else that makes our clients lives easier

 

Required Competencies and Experience

The ability to:

  • Explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Configure email on Microsoft Outlook
  • Install basic hardware and software into Desktop and Laptop computers
  • Install and Troubleshoot Microsoft Office, Windows 10 and cloud-based delivery platforms such as Office 365

 

An understanding of:

  • Microsoft Admin, Azure and SharePoint
  • Microsoft 365 Administrative Operations
  • General networking software configurations
  • OneDrive, SharePoint User Experience Administration

 

Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 1 year working in a similar role
