About OneSKY

Australia has embarked on the most complex transformation of Air Traffic Management (ATM) in its aviation history, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a unified solution to Australia’s future ATM needs. The OneSky Australia Program is an unprecedented partnership between Thales, Airservices Australia and The Department of Defence to develop a new integrated civil and military air traffic management system.

About the Role

The Infrastructure Network Engineer – Automation Engineer specialises in automation of network device configuration and support. The position sits within the high performing, driven and supportive Facilities team. A team dedicated to creative solutions, collaboration, long and short term objectives.

Specialising in automation of network device configuration and support:

  • Ansible Automation desirable (Ansible Network Security Policy Automation / orchestration)

  • Network Security device configuration and support experience (preferably with Fortinet)

    • CCNP CCIE Fortinet NSE Ansible

    • Cisco CCNP (or greater, eg CCIE)

    • Fortinet NSE 6 – Network Security Specialist (or greater)

    • Ansible Automation desirable (Ansible Network Security Policy Automation / orchestration)

Key Knowledge and Experience

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, IT or other relevant qualification

  • Cisco certifications (Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or equivalent in-depth experience

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) is highly desirable

  • Familiarity with a wide range of computer and networking hardware (preferably HP & Cisco)

  • Experience of scripting languages (TCL.TK, Perl and Shell)

  • Solid understanding of hardware integration and testing processes

  • Practical experience of validation and integration of hardware components on large, distributed networked computer systems

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documents that clearly articulate complex technical detail
