We are currently looking for a motivated, vibrant Room Attendant to join our friendly team in Cradle Mountains Lodge

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide passionate and friendly service to external and internal guests at all times
  • Service and clean all allocated guest rooms, ensuring all tasks are completed at or above the required standard and within the required timeframes set
  • Assist guests with all enquiries and complaints and provide accurate information to guests about Property facilities and features
  • Comply with all guest privacy and security procedures
  • Attend a daily briefing session to receive up to date information on the daily activities and to sign and be responsible for a master key on a shift-to-shift basis
  • Stock and maintain the housekeeping trolley, ensuring adequate supplies are available and the trolley is presentable at all times
  • Remove room service trays and trolleys to an appropriate storage area as required
  • Be trusted to follow correct procedures for all lost property items
  • Notify the appropriate person of all maintenance problems, damaged equipment and missing items, immediately
  • Handle all amenities, chemicals and equipment according to specific instructions and Workplace Health & Safety standards
  • Ensure that you are adhere to  Apartments & Leases grooming policy; ensure that you are wearing correct uniform, with name badge visible
  • Undertake special cleaning projects, as directed
  • Take responsibility to ensure all required tasks are completed accurately and within given time frames
  • Participate in scheduled training and development programs provided 
  • Abide by the policies in relations to equal employment opportunity and harassment in the workplace

  • Abide by all  policies with special note of  primary policies and the Competition and Consumer Act Policy
  • Attend and contribute to team and departmental meetings
  • Ensure Hotel, Customer and Employee information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with the company
  • Follow Company procedures with respect to grooming, performance and conduct standards, workplace health and safety, emergency procedures and all other property policies and procedures as detailed in the team member handbook, department procedure manuals and company policy manuals
  • Any other reasonable tasks requested by your manager

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products
  • Good physical health and stamina
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong focus and passion for hotel operations
  • Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with drive, ambition and high level of energy
