Head of Reporting – Insurance
Job Location: Sydney
Employer: Lanson Partners
$325,000 + super + bonus depending on experience
This newly created role will allow you to own the delivery of the Group’s key financial reporting requirements, as well as drive the implementation of IFRS 17 reporting using your strong technical accounting knowledge.
You will be responsible for:
- Ownership and delivery of financial reporting across the Group’s various reporting requirements
- Implementing the reporting frameworks and delivery for IFRS 17, and related reporting requirements for other global jurisdictions
- Implementation of robust finance processes and continual enhancement of these with a risk focused approach
- Key program management and co-ordination for local and global reporting requirements under IFRS and other accounting standards
- Leading a large team, driving people development and enhancing capability across the finance function
- Strategic reporting and project related engagements
You will have:
- A proven career in the insurance industry
- CA/CPA qualified or equivalent
- A deep knowledge of insurance accounting standards and reporting requirements
- Excellent team leadership
- Prior experience implementing new accounting standards
- Excellent communication skills and a attention to detail
