ABOUT THE ROLE:
Mercy Healthâ€™s Werribee Mercy Hospital is expanding. We have an ambitious and exciting growth strategy, which includes expanding our clinical service profile within the Werribee community. This is a new position to support this growth.
We are seeking a new General Manager for our Werribee site. The primary function of this role is to oversee and be accountable for the day-to-day management of the facility. In addition to leading the supportive, dedicated and team, key performance measures also include clinical outcomes, customer experience, financial performance and redevelopment of the site
The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader, with the ability to develop a highly performing organising and also continue to develop the community relationships.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Office â€“ this is a new opportunity to create a difference to the growing community in the west.

We are seeking an experienced leader to join the executive team. Youâ€™ll have excellent communication skills and will have previously demonstrated the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Youâ€™ll be dynamic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment where youâ€™ll find diversity, meaning and a professional challenge.
You will also need to have;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in managing hospital patient access and flow improvement initiatives
- Allied Health or Nursing/Midwifery qualification
- Current AHPRA registration if applicable
- Strong relevant clinical skills and experience in acute settings.

Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. The hospital has recently undergone significant expansion with the opening or our new intensive care unit, additional operating theatres and the opening of two new wards, taking the total number of beds to 298.
