THE COMPANY

Concept Labs are an innovative and sustainable manufacturing facility based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.  Producing cosmetic, skin care, and cleaning products for almost 25 years. We take a formula, innovation or even an early-stage concept for a cream, liquid, gel or oil, and will create it, package it, and have it ready to hit the shelves.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a full-time Formulating Cosmetic Chemist to join our 
dynamic team here on the Sunshine Coast. 
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
– Formulating, research, testing and stability of new personal care products
– Reformulating and improving existing formulations
– Formulation pricing
– Ability to work with both raw materials and finished products.
– Defining specifications within regulatory & customer requirements.
– Creating, managing and implementing SOP’s for laboratory and production departments
– Maintaining lab reports, product formulations/re-formulations
– Research & Development records adequately kept
– Provide technical support to manufacturing during scale up
– Quality Analysis of Products for Release

REQUIREMENTS
– Degree in Science, preferably in chemistry or chemistry related disciplines
– Tertiary qualification in science e.g. Diploma of Personal Care Formulation (may be currently studying) or proven relevant industry experience
– Demonstrable capability in Good Laboratory Practice.
– Physical science knowledge essential
– Proficient with computers/devices – Microsoft Office 365
– Great attention to detail
– Highly organised
– Can work independently with minimal direction 
– Proactive and takes initiative 
– Ability to actively solve problems
– Prior experience essential
