THE ROLE

This role has been created due to a strategic shakedown, and re-alignment as the business is growing and career succession planning is paramount.  This role will keep you on your toes, utilise your multitasking skills, and heavily relying on your solid transactional skills.

You will work autonomous handling all end to weekly payroll for a mix of permanent and contracting staff, along with AP, payment runs and reconciliation.  You will be developing long-term business plans based on these reports.

Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets. Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk.
Duties will include;

  • Weekly preparation, analysis and reporting of key performance of investment asset- holding-entities
  • Manage charts of accounts of entities in the group.
  • Monthly reconciliations on sub-ledgers against general ledgers
  • Preparing BAS, IAS lodgements
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial and management reporting
  • Champion annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting
  • Management responsibility for the Finance system Cheops
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
  • Provide financial and analytical support to the Directors
  • Guide Directors to enhance financial literacy, including guidance with compiling budgets and forecasting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function
  • Liaising and producing monthly reports to FC and Directors in regard to budgets, spending, reporting and financial accountability
  • Performing ad hoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation

  
ESSENTIAL

3 years as a Financial Accountant or 5 years as an assistant accountant working at FA levels
Tertiary level qualifications (can be studying towards CA/CPA).
Experience using Cheops accounting system
Excel skills must be intermediate to advanced level
Preferably experiences in property or construction industry
