Job Description
Digital Marketing Specialist (Entry level)
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist with proven expertise in creating, managing, publishing, content development, event execution including demand generation, event hosting, reporting and web presence. This role will be responsible for supporting the client’s Academy Program (Japan, Asia Pacific) executing content distribution and virtual event management across multiple geographies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Social Media (Primary)
- Develop regional social media pillar campaigns including concept, planning, execution, and analysis
- Analyze social media analytics and insights to determine success and pivot if needed, factor in learnings into future campaigns
- Be available to engage in social media activations in real-time with an “always-on” attitude
- Serve as a social media expert within the region, maintain a cutting edge understanding of best practices, features, and tactics
- Understand client’s products, technology, issues that impact our business and the competitive landscape
- Collaborate with advertising, PR, content team, and other key stakeholders across lines of business to plan and manage content and promotions via social media. Make sure efforts are coordinated and consistent with the client’s Academy Program initiatives and messaging
- Constantly test new strategies, new content and campaign ideas to improve content marketing and brand-building efforts
- Oversee campaigns, including content development, publishing, gamification strategies, and measuring program performance
Virtual Events (Secondary)
- Plan, coordinate and deliver event project management in accordance to global/regional event strategy and calendar
- Monitor and coordinate event timelines, work with various stakeholders to build audience acquisition assets
- Work with event stakeholders to scope requirements, launch, and maintain regional event series sites, and implement changes throughout the event lifecycle
- Act as a professional consultant offering guidance, creative solutions, and assistance on all back office aspects of the event processes (Global Marketing Shared Services and Demand Generation)
- Hands-on, daily management of all event sessions and speaker logistics including session details, speaker assignments/rehearsals, and profiles, session scheduling, proofreading, PowerPoint presentations, session tagging, and more
- Identify areas of opportunity to improve speed of execution or potential risks to the business
- Anticipate issues and keep field team on-track at all times
- Maps and analyses processes and produces suitable documentation
Qualifications
- Experience leading social media campaigns, content development, virtual event and conference management. Knowledge/experience in working with a marketing organisation
- Deep understanding of social media tools and defining metrics for success. Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing
- Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
- Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees, when necessary
- Proactive thinker and doer. Excellent writing skills. Very well-organised and structured, ability to prioritize and multitask, good attention to detail
- Develops insights from data to bring creative vision and new ideas
- Very good computer skills (MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project)
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills in English. Additional fluency in Japanese or Korean would be a great plus (but not required)
