A position is available for a self-motivated individual with excellent customer service skills who is studying marketing or has recent relevant experience.


The Business

The Role

We are open from 8:30am to 6pm, but your day will typically fall between 1pm and 6pm, working 15 to 25 hours per week. Shifts are allocated over a seven-day rotating roster, so you will be consistently working on both weekdays and weekends.


A significant part of the time, you will be the only staff member on the premises despite other team members working remotely. As such, you will need the confidence to assert yourself and the ability to work unsupervised.


This role is perfectly suited to a university student studying Marketing who has a hospitality background. While there will be varying amounts of customer-facing assistance in this role, depending on the day, you will be able to spend time applying marketing in a real-world setting.



Job Tasks and Responsibilities

In the course of your duties you will be:


Liaising with guests to ensure a high-quality customer experience. This ranges from taking and changing reservations, assisting guests with their travel plans using your local knowledge, to helping resolve guest issues.


Working with onsite and remote team members to ensure the day’s activities flow smoothly. This includes helping with any overflow of phone calls, prioritising housekeeper workloads, placing orders, and liaising with management.


Applying, adapting and evolving our marketing plan, utilising internal and external training. We have a wealth of in-house knowledge and external resources available to assist you in planning and carrying out digital, direct and social marketing.


Working on peripheral tasks that will up-skill you in various facets of small business. This role is not for someone who just wants a job in return for a paycheque. We love developing our team members and challenging them to learn more so they can achieve their goals and take a broader skillset into wherever the future takes them.
