Coordination and Logistics Manager

We are currently seeking a Coordination and Logistics Manager to join our shared services team based in Mt Gravatt on a full-time basis. 

As a member of the Shared Services Team, the Coordination & Logistics Manager will lead and coach the co-ordination and logistics teams to create and drive booking, scheduling, and resource allocation excellence. This role will require a flexible / proactive approach to identify and work collaboratively on solutions that ensure effective co-ordination, allocation, resourcing, and bookings to support our arrangers in driving quality outcome for families. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Overseeing the day-to-day co-ordination of Shared Services crew in line with designated brand standards.
  • Managing the delivery of funerals by effective allocation of staff, vehicles and facilities, and administration, in accordance with InvoCare policies, procedures and quality standards
  • Providing exceptional customer service at all levels of contact with external and internal customers, by telephone and face-to-face
  • Supervising funeral teams and the use of physical assets in accordance with corporate targets, policies and guidelines, including the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment.

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate:

  • Logistics and scheduling experience is essential
  • Resilience in a changing environment
  • Focus on service delivery on internal and external customers
  • Supervisory experience in a service-driven organisation or ability to quickly learn the functions of the job
  • Balance supervisory responsibilities and the need to work closely with management with funeral responsibilities and working with other staff
  • Current full drivers licence
  • Ability to build robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An understanding of the funeral service industry and its operations, or an ability to rapidly acquire knowledge.
