Commuter Room Attendants & Kitchen Stewards

Tangalooma Island Resort located on Moreton Island just one hour from Brisbane, Queensland. The Resort is renowned for its Dolphin care and research programs, we cater to both Domestic and International Markets.

We have an exciting opportunity available for applicants that cannot relocate to a live on position but are willing to commute to the Resort daily as operations require.  Your day will require departing our ferry terminal at Eagle Farm at 8am and returning on our 4pm boat from Tangalooma.  Average time of travel from Brisbane to Tangalooma is 75mins.

 

Room Attendants

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of all guest, staff and contractor accommodation, working both within a team as well as autonomously.

Main duties include but are not limited to cleaning, spring cleaning, stripping rooms, stocktaking, stock control, storeroom coordination and laundry operations.

To be successful in this role you will need to be physically fit, have an eye for detail, be self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic and a genuine team player. Previous experiences in Housekeeping roles are preferred but not essential. 

 

Kitchen Attendants

As part of the Kitchen team you will primarily be responsible for the cleaning of all outlet cutlery/crockery, cleaning of kitchens thereby helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Resort’s Dining outlets. You will be required to assist in a team environment but also be able to work independently.

Your success in either role will be determined by your desire to achieve high standards of cleanliness and your ability to work to deadlines in an ever changing and challenging environment.
