As Clinical Coordinator, you will ensure our residents and clinical employees are supported. 

Combining case management, clinical governance, ACFI, rostering, and staff management, the role of Clinical Coordinator is essential to ensure the leadership and coordination of all aspects of clinical care at our Residential Aged Care Facility in Cairns.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision of care teams including Nurses, Personal Carers & Allied Health staff 
  • Develop care plans in consultation with the resident, family/carer and other members of the care team
  • Promote a culture of service delivery that aims to improve the lifestyle experiences of residents
  • Maintain an information system that supports and enhances the provision of accurate documentation relating to the resident

In this Full Time role, you will be an integral part of  the leadership and coordination of all aspects of clinical care. You will do so by overseeing the site’s case management, clinical governance, ACFI, rostering, and staff management. 

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Current Division 1 Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA with a minimum of 2 years of experience (essential)
  • At least 2 years’ experience within an Aged or Community care environment (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical governance, accreditation and ACFI
  • Demonstrated skills in wound management, medication administration, continence and/or palliative care (highly desirable)
  • Current national police check or the ability to obtain one
  • 2021 Flu Vaccinations (or willing to obtain)
  • First COVID – 19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement for all Aged Care employees from 17 September 2021
