About the role
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead all business and organisational aspects of the organisation in accordance with the values, policies, processes, and systems of RSL Tasmania. The role is integral to driving the strategy, leading and empowering the operational management team and sub-branches to ensure quality service delivery to their members whilst also ensuring compliance and governance requirements.
Critical to the success of the role will be the ability to negotiate and influence, lead change and understand the sensitivities of the environment in which they work. You will take an active role in connecting with members, families and the broader community impacted through service to their country as well as representing RSL Tasmania on days of celebration and reflection.
The ideal candidate will be driven and passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for Australian veterans and their families. You will have the experience to influence and introduce new ideas and strategies and maintain awareness of business, economic and political environments as they affect the organisation. As an experienced leader you will have a proven track record of budget and risk management, an awareness of grant funding and developing submissions. Your previous positions should also demonstrate a leadership style which puts people at the heart with a focus on the organisation’s core values.
