Trade Cook – Food Services team

About the role
An opportunity is now available for experienced hospitality trained cooks to join our Kitchen Food Service team. You must commit to working weekends, public holidays, Christmas and the New Year period as rostered. This casual position involves the preparation of bulk food for patients and functions in our large kitchen and includes:
- Providing high quality and nutritionally balanced food
- Assisting with the bulk preparation of food for patients
- Assisting with the operation of the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Stock control as required
You will require the following attributes
- A minimum of five (5) years cooking experience in the Australian hospitality industry including recent experience in a commercial or bulk cooking environment
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent food and pastry standards
- Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards
- A positive attitude and professional manner
- Reliability, flexibility and excellent organisational skills
- Well developed communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and while unsupervised
