Total Tooling Co / Total Precision Products is a well-established sheet metal manufacturer located in Croydon South Victoria. With various brake presses ranging from 80 to 150 ton, the brake press operations are a key part of the company’s manufacturing capabilities which include laser cutting, turret punching, fabrication and powder coating.

The company has an enviable reputation for the supply of high quality products to a diverse range of customers including automotive, construction, rail, defence and food services.

The company is currently experiencing growth in demand and is seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to join our team. 

 

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, the Brake Press Operator will support the manufacture of a diverse range of sheet metal parts. You will primarily work with mild steel, aluminium and 304 stainless steel.

Your Brake Press skills will contribute to a manufacturing team that includes specialists in laser cutting, metal linishing, welding and grinding.

 

ABOUT YOU

Experienced in all aspects of brake press operation including:

 – calculating tool and part set up parameters

 – brake press programming

 – equipment operation, including load and unload

Prior experience programming Amada, Safan or Bistronic is considered highly advantageous.

Demonstrated problem solving capability to fault find and rectify issues as they arise.

Ability to easily read and interpret paper drawings, with an ability to read 3D CAD models being considered highly advantageous.

Strong attention to detail and an expectation of working to deadlines.

Able to feedback recommendations for product improvements.

 

PAY and BENFITS

We are offering a competitive wage based on your proven level of skill and experience.

Day shift work with occasional overtime and a 1pm finish on Fridays.
