Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the financial and administrative aspects of the business
  • Ensure the Dealership meet its financial obligations and conform to set procedures
  • Maintain an accurate set of accounts and produce the monthly trading results in a timely manner   
  • Produce accurate financial reports and reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Prepare detailed budgets and monitor all costs and payments
  • Ensure that recording and reporting procedures regulated by external bodies are adhered to
  • Ensure all statutory returns are completed and lodged to the financial controller
  • Assist the Financial Controller and General Manager with the administration of the dealership/s
  • Plan, direct, monitor and control the activities of the administration functions
  • Train and mentor staff to be efficient in handling and dealing with all administrative activities
  • Ensure the new and used vehicle processing systems enable timely and accurate results
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Perform monthly and yearly stocktakes for relevant departments
  • Manage dealership treasury functions and all other ad hoc accounting tasks

 

The successful candidate:

  • Previous automotive dealership experience as an Accountant is preferred
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Business or a related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualification or be enrolled
  • Ability to analyse data and resolve problems
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Excel, Office, accounting software and databases
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and multi-task
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
